Nujabes: This is Real Hip Hop!

I personally feel that Nujabes is one of the best hip hop beat makers out there today. Like the Sound Providers that I introduced earlier he is a minimalist that focuses on using piano, classical guitar, and jazz samples. Nujabes hails from Japan. His real name is Jun Seba which is Nujabes spelled in reverse (following the Japanese tradtion of placing the last name first, Seba Jun). Nujabes' music steps away from the traditional sound of hip hop that has heavy traces of jazz, soul and R&B samples and sounds more like new age and classical music. A truly refreshing sound that natural guides the listener into deep contemplation and reflecting on one's own life.

My personal recommendations are the following:

Arurian Dance - Classical guitar sample, relaxing chill out beat
Eternal Reflection - Classical piano sample, a deep song that puts the listener in a contemplative mood
Hikari - Symphony and piano sample, really relaxing beat, MC Substantial rapping over the beat
